My Story

 

   My name is Masen Merchant, creator and owner of 

Wildlife-On-Wheels

I'm a Michigan-based nature photographer, I photograph Lakeshore sunsets and other landscapes in Michigan, also many kinds of wildlife; Mostly Birds! 

I Started Photography in January 2014, photographing anything I thought was interesting. Old buildings, Lighthouses, Old cars and many types of wildlife.

   The Camera I used at the time was the Canon Rebel T4I. I knew nothing about cameras at the time. But after doing extensive research, eventually I figured out how to use the camera and what each setting did to change the look of a photo; I figured out how to get the best quality Photograph possible. 

​back in those days I never would have thought about making Photography my career. When I started, it was just a hobby. As time went on, my family told me that I should share my images with the rest of the world. So I created a Flickr profile and posted many of my photos. 

Fast Forwarding to June 2019. I created an Instagram Profile to share my photos with the world. Since then, I have been able to connect with many talented photographers that have given me great advice to improve the quality of my images. I also have been able to make many great friends that share the same interests in wildlife & photography. Currently, I use the Nikon D850 & the Sigma 150-600mm lens.
